Maggie the Magpie

Office Prints

February 7, 2018 by Rob

We’re still behind on getting some prints up in our office but we’re chipping away. But we put a print of Maggie up in Megan’s office! Last year we had the chance to connect with Daniel, a renowned Spokane graffiti artist. He came out to paint Maggie on the front of our studio on Monroe Street. Before Daniel takes on a project, it is usually sketched in one of his many small books.

Daniel shared that small sketch with Megan which we were then able to capture and enlarge for the print in her office, so now she gets to enjoy it every day.

Megan also got the chance to work with Daniel on a creative composite photo where we get to see Daniel breathing paint, which is an amazing visual representing how his art speaks to the community.

We continue to be inspired by Daniel | @godffiti and the work he does around Spokane. He even found a home on the shelf in our gallery space!

It took wanting to get Daniel’s image on the wall create something, but we still have a lot of empty walls in our space and we have a lot of our own imagery that needs to find a home. Perhaps a future blog post?
